Prince Harry has confirmed that he and Meghan Markle have no intentions of returning to the United Kingdom with their children, Archie and Lilibet.
Speaking at the annual DealBook Summit in New York on Wednesday, December 4, the Duke of Sussex, 40, expressed his contentment with life in the United States. “I very much enjoy living here and bringing up my kids here,” he said, according to The Times. He also highlighted the unique experiences he can share with Archie, five, and Lilibet, three, which he believes would not be possible in the UK.
Harry emphasized his commitment to family life, stating that his focus remains on “being the best husband and the best dad that I can be.” Meanwhile, Meghan Markle sent a festive message to attendees at a charity carol concert in London, wishing them a Merry Christmas “from my family to yours.”
The Sussexes have resided in Montecito, California, since mid-2020 after stepping back from their roles within the British Royal Family.
During his summit appearance, Harry shared his views on children and social media. He opposed the idea of banning children from social media, arguing that such a move could lead to conflicts at home and issues like playground bullying. Instead, he called for greater transparency and accountability from social media companies to create safer online environments for young users.
The couple’s decision to prioritize their life in the U.S. reflects their focus on family, privacy, and advocacy for causes they deeply care about.
