Reynhard Sinaga, the UK’s most prolific r@pist, has reportedly been attacked in prison in what is believed to be a planned act by vigilantes.

The 41-year-old is serving a life sentence with a minimum of 40 years after being convicted in January 2020 of committing 159 S3xual assaults on 48 men. Sinaga narrowly escaped serious injuries during the July attack at HMP Wakefield, which was stopped by prison guards.

A source told The Sun, “Sinaga is arrogant and universally loathed. He is a clear target in prison because of his depraved crimes. He was seconds away from extremely serious harm. He is in danger.”

A Decade of Predatory Crimes

Sinaga, an Indonesian student, spent over a decade drugging and assaulting men in his flat in Manchester. He preyed on men who had been separated from their friends during nights out, posing as a “Good Samaritan” to lure them to his nearby flat.

The victims, aged between 18 and 36, were mostly students, with an average age of 21. Among them was a sixth former whose escape led to Sinaga’s arrest.

Sinaga’s crimes came to light in June 2017 after his final victim, an 18-year-old rugby player, woke up during the assault and fought back, leaving Sinaga severely beaten. Sinaga was hospitalized, and the victim was initially arrested for grievous bodily harm. However, investigators later uncovered over 3 terabytes of videos on Sinaga’s iPhone, documenting his crimes.

Charges Against the Alleged Attacker

Jack McRae, 32, has been charged with attempted grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent for the attack on Sinaga. McRae has since been transferred to Frankland Prison in County Durham.

McRae faces additional charges, including another GBH attempt against child killer r@pist Wilbert Dyce at Wakefield in 2023. He is also accused of assaulting fellow prisoners Sayed Taheri, Patrick Harrington, and Andrew Gillis, as well as attacking an emergency worker.

Another inmate, Andrew Beadie, now at Long Lartin Prison in Worcestershire, is jointly charged with McRae for the alleged attack on Taheri.

McRae is due to appear before Leeds Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday to face the charges.
