The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has called on Nigerians to renew their faith and return to God in 2025, urging collective commitment to righteousness, unity, and national progress. This appeal was made in a heartfelt goodwill message signed by CAN President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, as the nation transitions into the new year.
Reflecting on the challenges of 2024, including economic hardships and insecurity, Archbishop Okoh emphasized that despite these trials, God’s grace remained abundant, sustaining the nation through turbulent times. “As we look ahead to 2025, we urge all Nigerians to return to God and serve Him faithfully. Only by seeking His guidance and walking in His ways can we find the peace, unity, and progress we all long for as a nation,” the statement read.
Archbishop Okoh extended a special message to those in leadership, urging them to embrace governance characterized by compassion, transparency, and accountability. He highlighted the importance of prioritizing the welfare of every Nigerian, ensuring inclusivity in the quest for national prosperity.
With a vision of hope and transformation, CAN encouraged Nigerians to approach 2025 with faith and determination. “With God’s continued grace and our collective commitment to His will, we believe 2025 will be a year of transformation and renewal for our beloved country. Let us move forward in faith, unity, and the hope that all shall be well with us,” the message stated.
The association concluded by invoking divine blessings and guidance for Nigeria, expressing optimism for a brighter future. “May God bless Nigeria and guide us on the path of righteousness in 2025 and beyond,” Archbishop Okoh declared.
The message serves as a rallying call for Nigerians to embrace spiritual renewal, national unity, and collective responsibility as the foundation for a more prosperous and harmonious year ahead.
