Bride Allegedly Poisons Wedding Guests in Jigawa State: One Dead, Groom Hospitalized

A wedding ceremony in Jahun Local Government Area of Jigawa State turned tragic when the bride allegedly poisoned the food served to guests, resulting in one death and the groom’s hospitalization.

According to eyewitnesses, the bride’s actions may have been motivated by a personal vendetta. The incident came to light when several attendees fell ill after consuming the tainted food.

The Jigawa State Police Public Relations Officer, Shi’isu Adam, confirmed the incident, stating that two female suspects, including the bride, have been arrested and are currently being interrogated by the Criminal Investigation Department. Adam assured the public, “We will do everything in our power to ensure that justice is served.”

All affected guests have been discharged from the hospital, except for one individual who was confirmed dead. The identities of the deceased, the groom, and other victims have not been disclosed. The police are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident and have urged the public to remain calm, promising that justice will be served.

This incident has cast a shadow over the community, highlighting the need for vigilance and thorough investigation to uncover the motives behind such a grievous act.
