In a heart-wrenching revelation, Mrs. Ojomachenwu Adaidu, mother of the late Salome Eleojo Adaidu, shared that her daughter was on the verge of marrying her pharmacist fiancé before her untimely death. Salome, a 24-year-old National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member, was allegedly murdered and dismembered by gospel singer Timileyin Ajayi in Nasarawa State.

Describing Salome as a “wonderful child, hardworking and responsible,” Mrs. Adaidu recounted her daughter’s aspirations of becoming a doctor after completing her service year. She emphasized that Salome was not in a relationship with the accused, stating, “Salome was not his girlfriend… She already had someone she was dating; a pharmacist.”

The grieving mother is calling for justice, expressing her profound loss and the impact on her family. She revealed that Salome had been a pillar of support since her father’s passing in May 2024, often using her service allowance to provide for the family.

The Nasarawa State Police Command has arrested Timileyin Ajayi, who was reportedly found with Salome’s severed head. Investigations are ongoing to uncover the motive behind the gruesome act.
