Pastor Idowu Iluyomade, formerly the Senior Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) City of David Parish, has inaugurated a new ministry named The Family Fellowship in Lagos.
The inaugural service took place on Sunday at the Civic Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos, and was marked by enthusiastic worship and celebration. In a video circulating on social media, Pastor Iluyomade is seen rejoicing with congregants during the service.
Prior to this development, Pastor Iluyomade was suspended by the RCCG Governing Council in June 2024, following an elaborate 60th birthday celebration for his wife, Pastor Siju Iluyomade. The event occurred shortly after the tragic death of Herbert Wigwe, a prominent church member and former CEO of Access Bank, leading to public criticism regarding the timing of the celebration.
During his suspension, Pastor Iluyomade was replaced by Pastor Charles Kpandei, who assumed leadership of the City of David Parish.
The establishment of The Family Fellowship signifies Pastor Iluyomade’s return to ministry, aiming to continue his spiritual mission in Lagos.
