A mob in Ogun State killed an elderly woman after accusing her of turning from a bird into a human. The attack happened in the Ita Balogun area of Ijebu-Ode on Friday.
Witnesses said people saw a bird hit the ground and change into a woman. A crowd gathered, claiming she was a witch. Instead of calling the police, they attacked her.
Videos online show people beating the woman as she begged for her life. She died before help arrived.
Police have not confirmed if arrests were made. Authorities warn against mob justice and urge people to report suspicions to law enforcement.
