Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan says she fears for her life. She warned that if anything happens to her, three people should be held responsible: Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello, and Governor-elect Ahmed Ododo.

She made this known shortly before her planned Sallah visit to her constituency in Kogi Central. The senator said she received threats and faced pressure to cancel the trip. Despite this, she insists on going ahead with the visit.

The police in Kogi had earlier advised her to call off the event. They claimed it could lead to unrest. The state government also banned rallies and large gatherings during the holiday. But supporters of the senator ignored the warnings and began gathering in her honor.

In her statement, Natasha accused the three men of using state power to threaten her. She said she has been followed, harassed, and treated unfairly since taking office. She believes this is part of a wider plan to silence her.

She also pointed to actions already taken against her. The Senate had earlier suspended her for six months. She is currently challenging that suspension in court. In another development, the electoral body began a process to recall her from office. She believes both moves are politically motivated.

Natasha said her only goal is to serve her people and stay connected to her roots. She added that no one should stop her from celebrating a major holiday with her constituents. She sees the visit as a chance to meet her supporters and show that she remains committed to them.

In response to her travel plans, the local government imposed a curfew. This step was taken to reduce the risk of trouble during her stay. Security agencies are also monitoring the situation closely.

As tension grows, the senator stands her ground. She says if anything happens to her, the country must hold Akpabio, Bello, and Ododo responsible.
