Suspected Kidnappers of Ex-AIG Odumosu’s Wife Arrested

In a significant breakthrough, law enforcement agencies have apprehended individuals suspected of kidnapping Mrs. Odumosu, the wife of retired Assistant Inspector General of Police, Hakeem Odumosu. The arrest comes after a coordinated operation aimed at dismantling the criminal network responsible for the abduction.

Mrs. Odumosu was abducted on January 16, 2025, at approximately 9:45 pm, by four masked gunmen outside her residence in Arepo, Ogun State. The assailants intercepted her Lexus Jeep, forcibly taking her to an undisclosed location.

Following intensive investigative efforts, the police successfully identified and located the suspects. During the operation to apprehend them, a confrontation ensued, resulting in the deaths of two suspects during a gun battle. The remaining suspects were arrested and are currently in custody, assisting authorities with further investigations.

The swift response and collaboration among various security agencies have been lauded as instrumental in resolving the case. This incident has also sparked discussions about the need for enhanced security measures and the importance of timely intervention in kidnapping cases.
