The President Bola Tinubu arrived in Makurdi on Wednesday, to visit the victims of the fatal attack that took place in Yelewata village in the Guma Local Government Area of Benue State. This attack that happened last Friday, claimed the lives of more than 100 people dead, and numerous others wounded.
Tinubu was spotted in the NAF Base at 12.58 p.m. and was taken straight into Benue State University Teaching Hospital. Benue State University Teaching Hospital. He was there to meet patients who are receiving treatment. He was seen talking to wounded women, men and children, providing words of comfort and encouragement.

In his address to the citizens of Benue Tinubu reassured Benue citizens that federal authorities is with Benue and will take all steps to ensure lives are protected and bring order back to the streets.
The president is likely to also visit the scene of the incident in Yelewata and have a meeting with the displaced residents prior to returning to Abuja.
