The President Bola Ahmed Tinubu asked Nigerians to be together and patient while the country recovers economically. In his Eid-el Kabir message, Tinubu urged citizens to consider the ideals that include sacrifice, belief and kindness that characterize the celebration.
He emphasized to Muslims throughout the nation that Eid-el-Kabir signifies complete obedience to Allah the same way that Prophet Ibrahim demonstrated. Tinubu declared, “Let us keep showing love and care to one another, regardless of religion, region, or background.”
In his remarks on the economic situation, President Buhari acknowledged the hard decisions taken in recent months, but reassured Nigerians that better times are in the near future. He stated that both the private and public sector are working extremely hard, and the results are beginning to be seen.
“We are getting through the most difficult aspect. More brighter days are ahead ,”
President Tinubu also expressed his sadness about the recent flooding incident that occurred in Mokwa, Niger State, which killed a number of people and damaged homes. He urged Nigerians to be praying for families of those who lost their homes and loved ones.
He also urged prayers for the military and other security personnel who risk their lives every day to defend the nation. He also urged everyone to keep praying for the country as well as its leadership at all levels.
“Pray for Nigeria. Prayer for the leaders of Nigeria. Ask for prayers from our soldiers. Let God be with us all. ,”
The president concluded his speech by urging Nigerians to be optimistic to remain united and to continue to display the courage and compassion that is the essence of Eid-el-Kabir.
